About Ballweg Implement

After more than 35 years serving the agricultural community, Ballweg Implement boasts more than 40 employees who are trained and motivated to provide the best experience in customer satisfaction for sales, parts and service. We have two locations, Ballweg Implement in Waupun and Ballweg Turf & Leisure in Beaver Dam.

1976

Tom and Joan Ballweg purchased the former Ahrens Implement in Markesan in November of 1976 and opened Ballweg Implement Co., Inc. on December 1, 1976 with Tom, Joan and seven employees.

1980s — 1990s

Over the first 20 years, the Markesan location office and showroom areas were remodeled twice and a large addition was built for combine service in 1986.

Through the 80s and 90s the agricultural base continued to grow as did the John Deere Lawn and Grounds Care line, adding lawn mowers, garden tractors, chain saws, compact utility tractors and skid loaders.

1998

In April 1998, the opportunity to expand presented itself when Harold Maly, owner of Maly Implement in Waupun, decided to retire. This location on Hwy 68, just west of the Waupun city limits, became the new home for Ballweg Implement and the Markesan location was closed.

2005

In the new, larger location at Waupun, the business has continued to grow with many unique features. Our sales line expanded to include Arctic Cat ATVs and Ferris Commercial Mowers in 2005.

Ballweg Implement boasts one of the largest parts inventories in Wisconsin featuring expanded hours in planting and harvest seasons, an after-hours parts hotline and year-round parts delivery service to 20 area locations through our parts Drop Box System.

Our factory trained technicians work in the shop or on the road with several fully equipped service trucks. We even specialize in on the road air conditioning repairs in the field.

2008

In May 2008, Tom and Joan added a second location in Beaver Dam called Ballweg Turf and Leisure.

This location specializes in lawn and garden, commercial and leisure products and is located on North Spring Street, just north of the mall. We stock lawn and garden equipment, ATVs and trailers. We are also proud to carry a full line of John Deere merchandise, memorabilia and the parts to back our products.

2009

Starting in the summer of 2009, Ballweg Turf and Leisure of Beaver Dam added Belgard Paver products (patio blocks and related accessories). Browse through our large outdoor patio display to help in designing your next outdoor project.

2011 — Today

Ballweg Implement is expanding again to serve our customers even better.

In October 2011 we broke ground on a large expansion of our Waupun building. The largest part of the expansion is dedicated to our service department, and is built to hold six combine bays. Our showroom and parts storage area are also expanding. In general, we're updating the 1972 building.
