Katrina Pokorny, 2018-19 President of the Waupun High School FFA Chapter, was awarded the $2,000 scholarship at the Waupun High School Annual Awards Program on Wednesday, May 15th.   To say the least, Pokorny is a very accomplished student and very involved in FFA.  At the upcoming Wisconsin State FFA Convention she will be awarded her State FFA Degree, be a finalist in three State FFA Proficiency areas and be awarded a Wisconsin FFA Star in Ag Business.  Already an entrepreneur, Pokorny owns her own business, Sassy Kat's, producing products from bees wax including lip balm, moisturizer and more. Katrina will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the fall, majoring in Public Health with the long term goal of working in the agricultural industry. Ballweg Implement further supports young people interested in careers in agricultural by employing high school interns, post-secondary apprentices and offering additional higher education scholarships.
